Welcome to the new blog!

I can’t remember all of the pages we had on the old blog, so I’m adding them as they come to me…

Wow, this blog is beautiful! Thanks for setting it up.
Can most recent addition be top rather than bottom, so that when I check repeatedly I can find out immediately if an addition has been made since I last looked?

I agree! This is fantastic. How are the new computers coming along? Do we have any of the systems set up? I miss the Center! I get all of the emails and wish that I could be going to the events. Glad to see this progress, too!

Hi, Ali! How are you??? We are having a planning meeting tonight, and I will ask whomever runs the Kids Program now to post something here — so the group can talk and to keep everyone, even long-gone oldtimers, apprised. Take care, diana

Democracy Now News is now playing on the radio each weekday from 6-7 PM (WVKC, 90.7 FM).
If you want news that isn’t owned by large corporations take a listen to Democracy Now and Amy Goodman!

Are we prepared for the outcome of this election?
Will people take to the streets if someone steals the election? or if hatred erupts in our country?
Why isn’t anyone talking about this?
Do we really want to live in a democracy? Are we willing to demand it?

Neighborhood Gardens are going strong! We have one across Henderson Street from Cook School, another in the 400-block of W South Street, one in the 300-block of N Kellogg St (Carla’s Nieghborhood Garden), one in the 100-block of Sumner St, and one in the 1200-block of S Seminary St (Dorothy’s Neighborhood Garden).
Most have at least some things planted, and so weeding and watering are the priorities. And then planting whatever is left to do — potatoes in the tires, certainly, and whatever else the particular garden’s organizer has in mind.
Neighborhood Garden meetings are on Tuesday evenings at The Center; John Derge is organizing the project overall. It is amazing to see an idea, shared by many, come into reality with this much participation. Awesome group!
